This document is a compilation of South African legislation relating to the control of pollution of the sea within the jurisdiction of the Republic of South Africa. Legislation is considered as it deals with a) the source of pollution, b) the effect of pollution, and c) the area of pollution. For each of these, applicable legislation is reviewed, with the principle features of each Act outlined and discussed.
