In the previous report the advantages and disadvantages of predying and preheating coke oven charges were briefly dealt with and some literature references on the subject were cited. The present report covers further investigations along similar lines, while the data are amplified by some results obtained in parallel experiments in the Institutes pilot coke ovens on portions of the same blends kindly made available by Iscor.
