dc.description.abstract National governments have the responsibility to provide, regulate and maintain national security, which includes cybersecurity for their citizens. Although South Africa has recently published its first draft cybersecurity policy, the implementation of the policy is still in its very early stages. In this paper, the authors propose and describe a possible cybersecurity implementation framework for South Africa. This implementation framework is based on previous analysis of structures in other countries, a cybersecurity awareness toolkit, guidelines for cybersecurity strategies in the literature, and an implementation framework proposed for Jordan. en_US
