To avert problems associated with text book distribution delays in South African schools, this paper proposes an alternative approach to paper book distribution in the form of eTextbooks. This paper looks at challenges to eTextbook provision for South African schools and makes recommendations on how to provide eTextbooks to schools. These recommendations feed into an architecture for eTextbook provision to schools.
