The aim of this paper is to propose an approach that South Africa could follow in implementing its proposed Cyber security policy. The paper proposes a Cyber Security Awareness Toolkit that is underpinned by key National Security imperatives as well as by international approaches. This is achieved by drawing on several analysis work derived from international trends and comparing them with key elements of the South Africa s draft Cybersecurity policy. The analysis is then synthesised into sets of policy recommendations, with possible implementation mechanisms suggested in conclusion.
