In January, 1966, the Zoology Department of Rhodes University, Grahamstown, undertook a second expedition to Lake Sibayi under the leadership of Professor B. R Allanson. Lake Sibayi is a lake situated in the central littoral section of Tongaland in North-eastern Natal. This area is subtropical with a summer rainfall.
