This report provides information about Lourens River. The Lourens River was known in the late 17th century as the Tweederivier, since it was the second river crossed on the journey from the Cape Peninsula to the Hottentots Holland Mountains. Though, there is little information pertaining to the Lourens River. This report is therefore compiled mainly from personal communications and field observations.
