This presentation focuses on diverse energy solutions and highlights the CSIR's energy autonomous campus programme. The importance of a long-term strategic vision regarding campus energy is recognized as well as South Africa's endowment with both solar and wind resources. It also demonstrates how a primarily renewables-based energy system can be designed and operated.
